Staging - How to guide
RTR Productions are one of Melbourne’s largest suppliers of professional staging solutions, we have portable stages of all sizes, shapes, colour and finish available. The base of our staging stock is our German staging system which includes metric stage deck pieces and a range of adjustable legs. As standard these stage pieces come in metric sizes in a black anti slip finish which is ideal for weddings, corporate events, fashion shows and outdoor music festivals.
Below we have put together a simple guide on how to construct a basic 6mt x 3mt stage:
Step 1:
When assembling the stage, start from the rear right corner place 4 legs in the first stage piece and use the adjustable legs to level out.
Note the tongue profile should be on the rear and outside right of the stage.
Step 2:
Continue the back row, moving from right to left installing legs and leveling as you go.
Step 3:
Hook the tongue profile into the groove and lock the connection using the handle underneath.
Step 4:
Follow step 3 to complete the back row of 6mt x 1mt.
Step 5:
Moving back to the right hand side, add your next stage section to the forward of your original piece placing the tongue profile into the groove profile.
Step 6:
Follow step 5 moving to the front of the stage to create an L shape, use the adjustable legs to level as you go.
Step 7:
Follow the process from right to left starting at the rear. Ensure tongue and groove are matched and locked as you go.
Step 8:
Ensure the stage sections are locked together using the cam lock handle below each tongue profile.
